What is an “OBM”?
An Online Business Manager (OBM) is your right hand person and confidant who helps you virtually run your entrepreneurial business behind-the-scenes. They help with operational systems, team management, marketing, project management, launches, sales management, team culture, communications, and so much more.

You’ve Got Questions, I’ve Got Answers:
I’m new to having an OBM. Is that okay?
Absolutely! Firstly, CONGRATS! This is a huge, empowered step in your business and you deserve incredible, grounded support in your corner. I LOVE helping to take solo-preneurs and/or small teams to the next systematized level. I have a knack for digital organization, streamlining, and cultivating clear vision so with your creative biz brain and my creative structure brain, we’ve got very cool things ahead!
Does an OBM typically work full-time?
Every OBM is different. I work with my clients on retainer and typically work between 5-10 hrs/week depending on the goals, team availability, etc. I structure our work relationship to account for very normal peaks and valleys in work rhythms. I work best with Virtual Assistant (VA) support, as well, to optimize impact and progress.
I’d like to hire VA support, too. Do you help with that?
Yes, as an OBM, being a part of hiring an aligned team is a special opportunity that I’m honored to be a part of. I’ve helped several clients with job descriptions, interviewing, onboarding, team culture setting, acclimation with existing team members, and beyond. Making sure we have the right team members in the right positions for them and the business is essential.
How long before I feel the ease in my business?
Right? Great question! This depends on all kinds of factors. In my experience, there are areas of the business where we will get some quick boosts in the ease department pretty immediately! In the end, we’re aiming for the long-game ease and that does take time to feel the effects of. There will be certain metrics we can select together as a team to focus on and check in with over time to ensure we’re getting that return on our time, money, effort, and brilliance!
Why is open comm-unication so important?
You know those pesky resentments, unspoken feelings, and moments of unintentional impact that happen? We’re all human so they’re bound to happen. Do you also know how those start to break down the foundation of trust, connect, and mutual respect over time when they go unspoken? This happens in our personal relationships, but you better believe they happen in our work relationships, too. My intention of cultivating practical tools and a healthy culture together as a team is not only harm reduction, but also cost-saving over time. When team members feel seen, understood, acknowledged, and valued, they stay longer and are more fulfilled in their work life. This, to me, is valuing the whole humans in each other in everyday practice, along with knowing, at our core, that we want to do right by each other. Sometimes we just need the built-in permission (and the right tools) to go there respectfully with each other which almost always ends up in feeling more connected and uplifted.
What kind of investment can I anticipate?
This very much depends on a variety of factors. Depending on what level of support you’re looking for, OBM retainers start at around $2k/month and up from there. Each retainer is highly customized for what your business needs. How do I know if an OBM is a fit?
Finding the right OBM for you is not something to take lightly. Your OBM will be involved in the most core inner workings of your business on the daily (trust is essential), your right hand person (you’ve gotta really jive together), and your team’s go-to person for what comes next (is it easy for you both to be on the same page, especially in moments that you’re not there?). Anyone can learn new tools, skills, etc. with ChatGPT, Google, and “YouTube University”, but are they bringing the real world, industry expertise gained through grounded experience, are your core values aligned (personal and business), and do you flow well together? These are intrinsic things that make for an amazing experience working together and in my experience, are not things that should be compromised on and are worth every penny with the right person.
How long have you been doing OBM work?
As life would have it, I’ve been doing this kind of work in different shades my whole career. I have a Business Management degree from the Boler School of Business at John Carroll University which led me (very, very unexpectedly) to a career in corporate IT doing project management and business analysis work for seven years. Then I had a classic life “plot twist” (check out my about page for the story!) that brought me to my business 11 years ago! I’ve been offering a mix of mentoring/coaching work, VA-turned-OBM work, and AstroHD Readings - all with the through line of bringing more ease to your life.
In the end, your business is a vehicle for cultivating change only you can bring!
